The Wednesday News Show X
Welcome back to the Wednesday News Show! Today we have 3 articles, starting as always with Local News, hosted by Davi McCune. Then we have Literature News with Sir. Damian McCune of England, and Sports News with Danny McCune. Up first we have Local News with Davi McCune!
Originally this year schools would have the 25th to the 27th of November off, but the plans have changed. This year students and teachers alike will rejoice for they will have no school from the 23rd of November to the 27th of November. Strangely, this does not apply to those who are doing the Launch online program, who follow the schedule of Springfield Public Schools. Hopefully the students who are in this program will not be overly disappointed. Now for Literature News with Sir. Damian McCune of England!
Harry Potter is a personal favorite of mine, and this year sales have been great for the book series. Although many other industries have been suffering greatly during the pandemic, Harry Potter and other book companies sales have been great. I’ve bought many books throughout the pandemic, although normally I would just wait until I may be able to get them for a cheaper price or acquire them from a local library. But with libraries often either being closed or enforcing strange policies, it is much easier to pay a few dollars and get a book from Amazon. Now for Sports News with a good chap with a strange hat, Danny McCune!
Thank you, Sir Damian. Once again, our lesson is about the coach. This time about the Raiders coach, John Gruden. The coach is extremely irate about the game on October the 25th, because every one of the Raiders starting offensive linemen were forced to isolate at home from the 20th to the 24th, meaning that the team was only able to practice on Monday and Saturday. The Raiders were beaten by the Buccaneers 45-20, and although most already believed that the Buccaneers would win, the unfair disadvantage of the Raiders offensive linemen barely being able to practice. Truly, I think John Gruden has a good point, but I am not here to judge. I am here to report. Now for a brief word from our host, David McCune!
Thank you, Danny. The book of the week for this week is The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart, as well as The Secret Keepers, also by Trenton Lee Stewart. Thank you for reading!
